Ware Officials Seek Assistance in Arson Investigation

by | Apr 6, 2020 | News, Crime

WARE – State Fire Marshall Peter Ostroskey and officials with the police and fire departments in Ware are considering the Monday morning fire at 73 West Main St. as suspicious.

A fire in 2015 at the same Main St. location caused significant damage to the building.

This fire is being considered with suspicion because the building sat unoccupied, without heat or electricity, and enclosed in fencing.

Ostroskey is encouraging anyone with information related to the fire to call the Arson Hotline.

The hotline is part of the Arson Watch Reward Program. Information that helps solve the case can be eligible for a reward up to $5,000.

The Arson Control Hotline can be reached at (800) 682-9229.
